Do you want to be Carrick on Shannon VIP 2016

Carrick on Shannon became the smallest town in Ireland to be awarded Purple Flag status for the its vibrant, well managed evening and night time offering in 2015.

Purple  Flag  is  an  international  accreditation  scheme  for  town  and  city centres in the evening and at night. It is the “gold standard” for night time destinations. Like Blue Flag for beaches, places that meet the standards can fly the flag.  Over 65 town and city centres have been awarded Purple Flags since the scheme was launched by ATCM in October 2009. 14 of these towns are in Ireland.

Each year, towns must apply to retain the standard and show how improvements have been made in the town across a variety of categories e.g. quality of streetscape, new events, shops opening later, new projects etc.  The Purple Flag Steering Group in Carrick on Shannon wish to get your views on the town and this year we are again offering the opportunity to all those who complete the attached short survey and include their email address or contact number the chance to win a fabulous VIP day in Carrick on Shannon.
