Summer Assessment for Purple Flag Application for Carrick on Shannon

Lots of work is taking place to prepare for Carrick on Shannon's assessment for the Purple Flag . The Purple Flag involves a partnership of businesses, Chamber of Commerce, leisure, heritage,arts, sports and recreation providers, the Gardai and the Local Authority. 

Purple Flag is an accreditation scheme based on a unique set of standards - town centres that meet the standard can fly the flag. Purple Flag holders say that it has galvanised their evening and night time economy, increased partnership working and improved performance on safety, crime reduction and cleanliness and increased footfall in many towns.
